Does anyone understand these things?
Basically, I want illustrator, on a Windows 10 machine.
I am happy with an old version, don't need support etc, I use CS5 on my partners mac, just for drawing up 2d shapes, logos etc.
I can't justify whatbi should be doing, which is subscribing, so I've been looking at s3cond hand software. Probably cs4, or cs5.
It's very confusing though!I don't really understand how this is done. It's not just buy the discs and instal is it. What's the difference between registering and activating?
I see some being sold with activation key, but they don't know if it's been registered. Will this work?
I read there are complicated ways of transferring the license, but just buying second hand discs of eBay isn't going to allow me to transfer a license.
I see others which are retail packs, and don't have a key.
I also read you can't transfer student/teacher versions.
I will use this software now and then, It's not essential to my life/business. But I'd like some kind of software I can do this stuff on. I've spent many hours trying to work out how to use illustrator and I'm slowly getting the hang of it, so I'd like to stick with it if I can.
If not, is there another option? Something I can just buy, or download.
