Second 3D print project

It's amazing what you start thinking about once you get a 3D printer!

I have charging cables snaking across my (work-from-home) desk so I made this (particularly proud that it is in Fusion 360!):

Which resulted in this:

Then this:

I know this is all super-basic to you CNC-aficionados but I'm really chuffed that an idea can translate to a sketch, then to a "thing". Admittedly, it has taken two hours but I'm sure the next effort will be much quicker!

This was attempt #1, by the way - the other end of these cables.

Left and right brackets to mount my USB extender

I overshot the first bracket's lug but learned a valuable lesson in Fusion 360 about keeping components separate from the main body, so it was easier to drill through the bracket than edit it to shorten the lug

This is the project that took me a week, all-told, with probably about 12 hours of Fusion learning built in.

And both "projects" installed. Again, I know this isn't mind-blowing for most of you, but it is for me!

If it prints and works and ok then you are doing something right. The time it took to achieve it in my opinion doesn’t make any difference as you didn’t give up.

It is extremely compelling; to think of something, draw it up and then it just magically appears layer by layer on a printer.

I never get tired of it...

I love me some 3D printing!

This is one of four feet to lift my computer case off the carpet (it has a fan on the floor so needs better airflow underneath).

Even got Fusion 360 to largely create what I had in my head

It’s an AnkerMake M5 if anyone is looking for a printer. It’s always just worked out of the box, without any of the faff that seems common to other printers.

1st of March is static site opening so wife insists on going..
Sadly we have dog looking after this week so could only go for one night.

I was actually looking forward to sorting and decluttering now I have my sons blocks out of my trailer. but I spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday fixing my Wayne Dalton Garage Door. What a ball ache.
