Following a service on his car, my son has been advised that the rear pads on his 2018 1.4 Leon are 70% worn. I had a quick look and what they’re saying seems about right.
The car has on of thowe automatic mechanisms which needs no input from the driver in terms of engaging or releasing the handbrake when parking or moving off, although I believe you can switch the system off and prevent auto engagement .
I’ve never worked on a car with such a system, so is there a diy friendly way of changing the pads or do we bite the bullet, admit defeat and book it into the garage? (He’s been quoted £400 from a main stealer by the way )
Thanks for advice as always!
