Oh and I forgot, the car has Datsun heritage and I think everyone knows that that means :/
if you have used any acid etch primer dont seal straight over it, it can cause premture failure of the sealant
Thanks! I was thinking the same about the branding. It's all polyeurathane adhesieve sealant , sikaflex, tiger seal just names like Hoover
I epoxy prime first then seal if needed, then Gravitex or raptor.
....So are you saying seal first then prime?
I use Electrox too. I usually prime with it, seam seal, then prime with Electrox again. I think 3M do a seam sealing tape as well. Using seam sealer from a tube is a pain because it sets in the tube and nozzle, but I think the tape is a very expensive alternative.

Upol Raptor is a metal paint, very popular in the US for doing truck beds. It gets lots of positive reviews on forums as it seems to set rock hard and is very hard wearing. Expensive but worth it seems to be the main opinion.
Upol Gravitex is a sprayable stonechip and is very well liked too. I have bought some but not used it yet. There are cheaper alternatives but Gravitex is used by quite a few knowledgeable folk on here, which swung it for me. It's overpaintable too, which some of the cheaper ones aren't. This was the cheapest I could find it, including delivery:

The tape was the first link i put up, its not 3M however, but i was intrigued by it.
That Raptor stuff looks amazing, i just watched this videa:
only question is, what happens if you only want to use a little bit?
I am a little confused, because when you type in UPOL Gravitex into youtube it comes up with UPOL Raptor and Gravitex, is it the same stuff?
Upol is the company. They make both Gravitex and Raptor. Gravitex is a slightly textured stonechip, Raptor is more of a smooth protective paint. Upol make loads of stuff actually, under their own name and other sub names like David's Isopon filler.
Another stonechip that seems to be highly rated is Wurth. It seems to give more of a factory finish but is expensive and harder to find. I ended up buying Gravitex because so many on here had recommended it and there are several threads about the best way to spray it.
I have heard of Upol before, i know they make filler and primers etc. I just wasn't sure of the difference between Gravitex and and Raptor. If they are made of the same raw materials then i think i will go for Gravitex as its cheaper and it won't be seen under the car anyway. I am more concerned about longevity.
Yes worth products are very good, but i think you need an account with them to buy. Just like Kent Products.
Yep that's the one. Not bothered about the finish as it's under the car. More concerned about durability and ability to keep the water out. This one?

I haven't heard of that before but it's a well known brand and overpaintable. You could give it a go - at worst you would have to sand it off if you didn't like the finish.
