Even though I usually TIG weld, I was given this welder and I thought it would be handy because it's a lot more mobile than my TIG rig.
So what happens when I am using .6 wire and setting on max 2 with wire speed near minimum rate is that the weld bead bearly bonds to the steel I'm welding.
I am using 2mm wall 38mm tube and while I can get it to "stick" two parts together a tap with a hammer brings them apart again.
I did take the cover off and clean some dust out but I couldn't see any serviceable parts in there.
I guess it could be my technique and I would appreciate advice but also maybe this old welder is just toast.
