Having just bought a similar saw (Sealey) last week, would you mind telling me where the heavy Spring goes. It was handed to me when I collected the saw. Hope you do'nt mind. Malcolm

Whats the spring look like

The large spring is to adjust the downforce on the frame, here it is fitted, but if the spring is loose I bet the adjusting handle is missing as well.

Hi Paul. That is the spring, and yes the handle is missing too, but from your photo it looks like an easy DIY. sorry for posting in the wrong place, I'll learn. regards Malcolm.
