Has anyone got any tips on how to remove a stuck drill bit from an SDS hammer drill? I've got one of the 'Titan' brand 5kg(?) ones that Screwfix sell. Drilling 25mm holes down behind some skirting and now I can't eject the drill bit, try as I may.

Thanks mrfuzzy. I'd been trying similar to your suggestion but couldn't get enough mass clamped to the drill bit. I was at my son's recently-bought flat and only had a Workmate-type bench to clamp it in. I'll have to bring it home and get it clamped in the ancient Record vice and try again.
Not enough grease - I think you're right.

If you've been using cheap bits, they sometimes twist the shank and make it a right git to remove
