SDS Chuck service on unknown make of (German) drill.

I have this German made 500w 240v hammer drill with pneumatic action. It is very robust, but now needs a chuck service/replacement. It was originally purchased from Wicks, and I am struggling to identify the make. (We know that Wicks don`t make drills).On the label was “Wicks made in Germany 500watts”.

Northern power tools (Sheffield) will not attempt to do the job as they say they don`t know the make so cannot order parts.

German stuff is good, and I would really like to get it repaired but am stuck now for an option. Unless of course someone on here has an idea

I seem to remember having something from Wickes that was made by AEG.

can u not ask wickes who there supplier is as u need spares they may be helpfull try there head office and try a few shops in case any of them fob u off cos they cant be a..ed to find out

Is it Kress by any chance? I had an SDS from Wickes for years that was badged but made by them.

Apparently, the inner part of the chuck is part of a spindle that has a gear on the end that goes straight in to the gearbox.

Probably cheaper to buy a new one from Lidl or Aldi when they have them in store
look identical to one I bought in Lidl only it was grey in colour?

Looks like a makita I have. Not worth bothering with, the clutch on mine is radom.

Aldi and Lidl have them on offer every few months for arouund 30quid with 3yrs warranty.
