My wife has said that she fancies a steel fence (wood gets eaten!) to separate her bit of garden from the dogs (we have 7 - 6 x Clumber Spaniels and an Italian Spinone!) and she has seen a gate with scroll work and likes the look of it. About 1m high.
I have seen that you can buy the ready made scrolls (my local steel place has them) and they (from memory) are not cheap. However, there are quite a few metres of this fence and from time to time, I have seen the kits to make scrolls appear in the "For Sale" section here.
So, how easy is it to make (repeatable) scrolls? Is it cold or hot worked?
Trying to judge the difference between cost ans time of:
1. Ready made fences;
2. Ready made scrolls welded into fences
3. Doing the lot myself!
Cheers
