Have a very shallow one ,then it fades into less shallow,at the worst place,you can feel it with a fingernail. I’ve tried glass polish ,it’s improved the less shallow scratch considerably,are there any better solutions with some sort of dowel in a drill? Thanks.

I was watching a youtube a few weeks ago about polising water marks and minor scratches out of car glass.
It seemed to be in the pad and the compound, although this always seems to be the case with these videos / processes.

I bought a glass polishing "kit" (off eBay or Amazon?) a few years back. It had a polishing pad for mounting in a drill, and fine cerium oxide powder. That seemed like hard work, even to get the mineral deposits, left behind after limescale removal, off a shower cubicle, and was of little use on all but the finest windscreen scratches. Some of the more "aggressive" kits (deep scratch removers), with various grits, followed by cerium oxide, might be the way to go for a deeper scratch. An easier route might be to use a UV curing glass bonding adhesive, ideally refractive index matched to the glass being repaired. The bulk of the "overflow" glue can easily be removed with a razor blade, and the remainder polished smooth with fine cerium oxide powder.

You will need to grind that out and then re-polish if you want to get rid of it. Probably more work than it's worth unless it's something special.
