Hi All,
I've been thinking about getting a cheap second hand tig inverter of fleabay to just mess around with. I'm not expecting anything amazing but it'll just give me an idea of how to TIG and whether I should bother investing more in the future. The cheap stuff is always scratch start of course, is that really bad, hard to do? I've never done any arc welding so I've nothing to compare really.
Also, in keeping with a zero budget, I was thinking of just using disposible argon gas cylinders (I know more expensive in the long run...) Can these be hooked up to TIG torches OK? Never having held a TIG torch, I'm not really sure how the gas is hooked up and the flow actually controlled.
Cheers,
Rob
