Perusing for my next buggy/sandrail project for a while but I only just came across this, some great fab skills and a well put together vid. You know it's going to be good when it starts "after I broke my neck..."

Unfortunately the subtitles run out after a while but hopefully they will get added

I have seen them in action a while ago, there used to be a TV programme about them, To say that the drivers are lunatics is a vast understatement, Skill level off the chart, climbing virtually vertical quarry's with an overhang at the top, but some of them do make it, Respect.

Men and Motors used to show hill climbs where some of the specials ran that kind of thing. Those tyres would be good for digging over an allotment :D

Make a lot of use of a contour template for the construction (from about 2.15) that looks like a great product and they certainly got results with it - working out complex fishmouths has been putting me off using pipe, but that looks pretty idiot proof

Don't underestimate the ingenuity of idiots. I can usually come up with some way to cock up. I wonder where from and how much those tyres are ?

Icelandic Formula Offroad explained. This is fun stuff anyway, but is made so much more interesting by the proper explanation and excellent narration, don't let the guest appearance of the BBC Top Gear people put you off

5'500 spectators is 1.6% of the Icelandic population. The UK equivalent would be more than 1'000'000.

    Popular sport in Iceland!
