Get a phone number. Speak to someone. I'd love it at the price, despite not "needing" it or having time or tools to collect. So get on and get it locked down before you make more logistics for me!

I offered £180 for it late last week They counter offered at £200, which seemed fair.
I then asked whether I could collect Monday (i.e. Today) and whether it worked or not - and they haven't replied at all since?
I guess I asked the wrong question?

So anyway - if anyone else fancies it (@Gareth J) £200 seems to be the rate.

This isn't a dig at you, but...

If I'm ever a seller, it irritates me when people ask a bunch of questions after the sale is agreed.

I understand, from what youve said above, that it's not clear if you are at this point, so, again, I'm not directing this at you, but the seller may be on a different page and that may be the reason?

I tried to give something away on my local freecycle page the other day. Someone said they wanted it, which, by the local rules, removes it from the page, and *then* asks a load of questions and decides they don't want it anyway. I couldn't be bothered any more so it went to the dump...

It’s a fair point- I offered 180 and had they accepted I would have taken it on. (Once a sales agreed I’d have to stand by it on principle) When they reply with a counter offer I considered that negotiation- so asked for more details - so now wondering if I need to factor in a new motor to the cost or just a VFD.
I think GarethJ has the best idea- I’ll get a phone number.
