Scheppach band saw blades

I need to buy replacement blades for one of those handy little Scheppach bandsaws from Lidl/Aldi.

The original was 14/18 tpi.

My most common use is for c.3mm RHS. Is that the best tooth count for that application, or should I go up to something like 24tpi?

The blade is marked M42 12.7mm 0.65mm 14/18T 1140

Any supplier or manufacturer recommendations? I'm dubious about eBay or Amazon sources unless I know which manufacturer to trust.

These look interesting, but are only 050mm rather than 0.65mm thick. Does that matter?

Rule of thumb is three teeth in contact, so for 3mm the 24 tpi is as close as you'll get - 14/18 would give 2 in contact most of the time, probably OK if it has a damper or similar to control blade movement?
0.5 vs 0.65 - no clue!

I get both my metal and wood working blades from Ian at tuffsaw........exc value and qual.....
Highly recomended.....hell post just one and plenty of guidence if needed.....
Only buy Cobalt blades for metal.......usually vari tooth pitch.......

Note that if you want to cut bigger solid stuff like me, the problem with coarser blades is they loose some flexibilty and are more likely to snap, a little annoying as I snapped a nearly new 6tpi.

10tpi is about the coarsest that works well on these saws.

So that would be these ones?. Same variable tooth count as the OEM ones, but a little coarser than I would really like.

Another vote for tuffsaw

Any ferrous cutting go m42, not really needed for non ferrous as hss will be fine, but I would go m42 anyway

Blade thickness shouldn't be a big issue at those sizes ... biggest issue is too thick blades sapping power to flex over the wheels

Tuffsaws is the go-to. I certainly don't even bother looking elsewhere for my own bandsaw.

Go to Tuffsaws, you will have to let them know 0.65mm, but they are the best ones I've bought so far.

On thinwall box/tube sections I find the finer tooth blades are less prone to grabing
