Looking to make a few display stands out of scaffold & clamps, not much out there like I need so think might as well make some, probably use ply for the tops. Anyone know of a cheap place to get the poles & clamps?
How’s the wood attached to the poles normally?

Local scaff yard will often sell bits.

Have a Google of keyway clamps.

More suited to the task than scaffolding.

Not my cup of tea either
Scored a load of it a few years back.
Makes good racking for timber in the lockup.
Originally was gonna be a climbing frame for the kids

Brundle sent an email a while back with gym equipment and outdoor tables etc looking a bit like that stuff. I was surprised at how cheap it seemed so they might be a reasonable place to try for bits.

Try scaffolding direct, bought stuff from them in the past, delivery on poles isn't the cheapest though.

  11. Funnily enough, as our kids thin metal tube swing deteriorated I used some scaffold tubing & Kee Klamps to make a strong long lasting swing frame.

Prices seem reasonable so I think I’ll give it a go, kt’s only to put some smaller sets on as a display.
