Scaffold Boards - anyone interested?

I have legitimate access to tonnes of used scaffold board (they would go to scrap) but the problem is they are in Lincolnshire and I'm in Aberdeen. I want to use them to build a lean too and shed at my workshop. Would anyone on here know of someone who would bring a load (thinking of 3 or 4 tonne) to Aberdeen in exchange for a few tonne of boards for themselves? Would need to be someone trustworthy.

I can get whatever lengths you'd need. I'd probably go for 13ft boards.
They would be loaded with forklift but I haven't got access to one at my end though.

I was just thinking it may work out cheaper if I pay to transport them rather than buy them locally.
Have you had any prices for transport

No but I'd imagine it wouldn't be cheap to Aberdeen, hence wanting to see if anyone would take half a load (thinking a 7.5t dropside) in exchange for delivering the other half to me.

round here they want 10 or 12 quid per board.........dont know how many in a tonne (at a guess 40 or 25Kg each) so thats 400 per tonne

It may be cheaper for me to pay the transport to you and get half dropped off here en route

At a rough guess it would be something like 150 13ft boards each. But I'd need to see what is available when back at work. It costs my company money to get rid of them so in effect I'm saving some cash.

I may be able to get a load each, can't promise anything but if that was more worth your while, I could ask next week. The only thing is they would need to be hand unloaded at my end unless the truck has it's own forklift or hiab.

Put up a request on shiply.com. People bid against each other (downwards) and it's handy for 'empty return loads'

Thanks for the replies. Hopefully I'll find out this week how many I can get. Technical has first offer but I'm hoping we can get a couple of 7.5t loads. I'll let you all know

Mrs Robo asked some one at the stables with a big van to pick 4 up for her, he said "I've got a load spare at work, how many do you want for free" - result.
