fftopic: Never mind the welder, what's that supercharger fitted to?
Cant see a welder for wacking gret Shovel infront of it![]()
cant see a shovel for a wacking big blower on it![]()
It's a Shovel slim, they gave you a clue in the two posts before yours![]()
I think they look great.
Got a bit of a lorch thing about them. I see them crop up on eBay from time to time for big money.
Addjunkie what made you chose it out of interest. Did you buy it new. Have you seen the coolers for them? They look very fancy things too.
I've never seen any CEA kit in the flesh let alone used one but IIRC they're pretty well thought of and considered great value for money by several memebers?
you don't want to sell that thermal arc 200 ac dc if you still have it do you?? (i've put an ad in the wanted section for one)Yes I bought it new, after my wse 200 from china died, after about 9 months. No one would look at it, I didnt have a clue. I was researching options, sure I asked on here too, looked at esab, murex paraweld various others, the termal arc at the time came with a 3 year warrenty. It was cheaper than miller etc. My local welding supplier got me a better price than I could find on the web, though he didnt normally stock them. Id just had a rather large bonus from work, so I treated my self, as I "liked the look of it" and it seemed to tick all the boxes.
Never seen a cooler for them, though I really should get me a cooler sorted sadly no more big bonuses from work to finance it though. Also regret not buying a pedal back then....
Since moving here 4 years ago the welder has had sporadic use, as ive been rebuilding an old stone house and all my free time and money have been absorbed into it. The shovel lay unloved before moving, so I sold it about 9 months ago. The blower was an eaton 45 from a mini cooper. Infact all 3 of my harleys have been sold, because living down a long farm track isnt a great experience on a harley. Just two old triumph twins to fiddle with now, and an xjr1300 to ride.
