Would anyone know if and where you can get the foam Velcro adhesive pads that go on the sole plate of orbital sanders. The ones about 50mm x 115mm. I've looked everywhere. I can find the round ones and the triangular ones but the big oblong ones are hiding in the firmament somewhere. I'm sure the MigWelding oracle will know.

You can buy self adhesive velcro strip in both hook and loop. I think it comes in up to 150mm wide.

Buy genuine velcro as it is a little better quality than the alternatives. You can remove any remaining hooks on the old pad by gluing abrasive paper to a table face up and sanding them off with the machine itself.

Festool pads are velcro...but they are a different size and will have their own hole patterns.

They do a 115x228 which you could cut up I guess?...not cheap though.

Having read the above replies, it is not quite clear if you need the velcro that attaches the abrasive paper to the sander or the double-sided ones, known as pad savers that go between the sander's velcro and the paper.

So, as suggested above, 'replacement pad' and your model number will find one and 'pad saver' and your model number will find the other.

I am looking into some foam velcro pads the go onto the tool then the disc sticks on after to save the original pad

I think I know what I'm going to do now. A sheet of 5mm kart seat foam and some wide Velcro. from Ebay.
