Evening all.what we all using for face/head protection when blasting.got a cheapo hood,but Perspex ain’t lasted long at all,and also it’s a bit of nightmare when trying to blast u see the arches of a car.

You need the acetate rip off lens covers

Use sacrificial acetate sheets on the outside.

i would get some breathing equipment as well.

I use my air fed mask. The ricochet etches the visor.

Oh ok.never heard of em tbh.looked on eBay but can only find d the ones for goggles.

I use this with tear off lens covers - or just clear acetate sheet trimmed and stuck on with tape.
I used to use a British Army gas mask but wrecked the lenses

Some years ago a group of us were sandblasting a boat hoist using a large portable sand blaster driven by powerful diesel engine. We wore a huge air fed helmet, but got through so many of the plastic overlay visors - they became opaque in minutes - we resorted to using cling film over the overlay simply replacing that every few minutes.

I obsessively save any suitable clear plastic packaging - proper recycling

or even better, airfed. but that will do as long as you're not using silicone sand.
