They are not cheap, that is for sure. One thing though is you are getting a top notch machine for the price. Personally I could not justify, or afford, such an outlay but I do have an EWM, it was second hand and it is an amazing piece of kit.
a lot of it boils down to professional or "domestic" use. if you're earning your living from it, then it's a point of it is worth buying quality kit, because if it breaks, then you're risking losing more earnings than potentially you would save by buying cheaper and not reliable kit. Basically it could cost to source and replace the gear, so it's a viable investment for pros.
if it's for non professional use it would be a bit nippy spending that sort of wedge on occasional use.

i think the point here is....if your in the market to bare your soul for the welder of your dreams, @6 milli billi is trying to make is he will leave your wallet bear and sell you a tremendous welder at a price as sharp as the bears teeth.

Ewm prices reflect entirely on the product quality. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to be dubious or cautious about if buying a machine at this level. It’s worth every bit of the layout. It’s just a question of whether you can afford or justify it.
It’s no more expensive than the other German quality brands out there. Rehm and lorch will set you back similar money and Fronius will cost you even more.
