Yeah, it's a little metal tray of a known area and weight you lay on the ground and drive the spreader past it then weigh the result and do math. Seriously, seen one used for checking road chippings density.

Lane is a mile long and council won't help other than supplying us with the spreader and salt.
We normally do it with shovels out the back of my truck but it's wasteful if you're not carefu

and his neighbors ?

and economically.
