Does anyone out there still welds even though you have a pace maker. What are the dangers of welding if i have a pace maker and is there a way i can still weld with special attire.

I need input from somebody who still welds and has a pace maker. How do you protect yourself from not damaging your pace maker?

I'd discuss it with your doctor.

Use oxy-acetylene if you really must join metal together. Check with your doctor as above for electric, apparently AC high amps is most dangerous and it also depends what your pacemaker is treating but better not to risk anything on hearsay.

given that it is an experement with potentially fatal results, I would want professional advice on it. ( not saying there are no pro's here, but dont think any of them are pacemaker experts.....)

For shielding you could use one of THESE CHAIN MAIL SHIRTS under overalls to act as a Faraday cage.
