Before you all jump down my neck calling me an idiot i was wearing safety glasses... Bolle Silium ones and clearly at some point something has flown right past them and embedded straight into my eyeball, just got back from an A&E visit with a follow up visit on wednesday so they can dig into my eye deeper, to get the rest out, after really having no idea how it happened I just put my safety glasses on and looked in the mirror and was quite surprised at how much of a crappy fit they are with loads of areas top and bottom for things to get a direct hit to the eye.
Which leads on to my question of what do you guys like? i'd like to avoid going to a full goggle type of thing with an elastic headband, but want something with tighter sides and top/bottom fitment. I'll probably end up using something in combination with a clear visor most of the time from now on but also wanted something just incase I don't want to use the visor for whatever reason.
You know what hurts the most about all of this? For most of my life i've been absolutely terrible at wearing any sort of PPE, getting by with the old safety squints and it's only in the last year or so really that ive started wearing safety glasses and hearing protection all the time and then low and behold this happens and I end up in A&E for the first time for an eye injury.
Sigh
