Truck EB is a foot operated thing on the left side. There's no on/off operationMy Lancia Beta had something almost as weird - hydraulic brake disks at the rear. The handbrake cable somehow operated one of the pistons, and the back calipers often seized within 6 months of the MOT. It was booked into my mechanic every year for a pre-MOT & rear caliper rebuild
It's not fun living on a hill in Yorkshire in winter with no handbrake, especially when you need to stop on the way up at a give way line. Pulling away in front wheel drive car stopped on snow, when there's no handbrake is "fun"![]()
like a handbrake.
Hill holding with a manual xmission is something you practice for.
And large feet help....
