Rusty Fuel line

a few oem's seem to be useing push fit, fuel lines on the transi look like there push fit.

ive also used airline push fits as a tempoary repair then forgotten about it so it became permant as when i noticed it again it'd been on there that long it might as well stay,

if your after compression fittings ect check out lorry air fittings, can get pipe fittings inserts and olives cheep that way

Cant say I like plastic fuel lines but it seems the norm these days, I dont think I would have a problem using push fit couplings because the grab rings inside really do hang on . @bricol `s point about o`rings is a valid one but after looking at the data sheets it would appear that most decent brands have nitrile seals, perhaps not on cheap copies so its worth checking before turning your car into a fireball.

I don't particularly like them either but it won't make much difference as the fuel tanks are usually plastic these days, so if there is a fire either the fuel lines or the tank will melt and catch fire anyway.
