Brought a 4x4 at the weekend and while it looked nice and clean outside, I got a bit of a shock underneath after jetwashing the mud off it and poking around with a screwdriver...
So I'm wondering what the best way of fixing this is; I did think perhaps cutting out the bad section and replacing it with a bit of box section, but a friend suggested plating it however I'm none too hot on bending/forming metal sheet?
Worst case is I could get my brother to fix it, but I'd like to have a go myself really to get the experience and satisfaction of fixing it.
Pictures are of both rear sides of the chassis.
