Rust Bullet Paint

Anyone with experience using rust bullet paint? Comes in clear, grey and black I believe. Comes from USA, claims a unique patented rust seal/urethene coating that is almost impossible to shift. Have heard of great results using the clear on clean aluminum, perfect for a rebuilt gearbox as chemical resistant and ok for reasonable high temps. Seems to cost about half of a similar Eastwood product.

Anyone used it for a project?

Sounds like its just a polyurethane paint a bit like chassis black. There are no secrets for holding back rust, its always been the same story of keeping out moisture/air and adhesion. Gag enough paint on rust and you can achieve the same, bog standard polyurethane chassis paint is a one coat coverall job thats resistant to road salt and just about anything you can throw at it. Got to love the yanks for the way they name products

Multiple patents suggest might be a little bit of a new twist in the chemistry.
Apparently the metal paint takes both smoothing and adhesion to a new level. Seems it bonds with rust as per usual rusty metal paints but has sufficient grip to not let and water in and is almost impossible to remove. Gonna have a go with the clear or gray on my track car project if I can afford the UK price when I get to that stage.

Its not letting water in thats the issue , its letting the stuff thats all ready in there out.
