As I mentioned it has a matt/flatting agent in there to dull he finish slightly. Didn't want the full wet look gloss.
The second coat was done some time after the first and I have to admit I was a bit forgetful on the re-cleaning/tack cloth before I done the second coat.

Yes I did filter the paint btw

I would never clean and tack between coats anyway. Very difficult to really analyse from a photo but it doesn't look too deep.Whereabouts in the country are you? Block it out wet 800 and re shoot it. If you 400 and miss a bit you will end up with some mighty scratches, even in a satin finish.

I am in Bury St Eds Suffolk.
Roger that, I will hit it with 800 grit and see if I can take it back enough to re coat. How long should I wait until I hit it with the wet 800grit?

It was the next day I applied the second coat so it is very possible there was some contaminate/debris that I should have cleaned.

I think you could be right with the overnight contamination. As I say, I would hit the second coat after about 15mins so no need to tack off.
You can knock it back after 24hrs air drying to be safe.

I am assuming to knock back using a block rather than discs on the sander?

Personal choice mate. Commercially they would use d.a but there is a danger of cutting to deep. Much more control with a block warm water and a drop of soap.
