It is a splendid write up Langy. Only point I would take issue with is the grocer's apostrophes. ;-) Oh and the sales blurb for G3 claims it will deal with 1500 grit, so maybe the G6 and 2000 grit steps could be missed out? I have done that with the faulty paint, blue panels and it comes up like glass.

Went to the workshop before work this morning and took these pix to help explain the issue.
It seems like little craters dotted over the panels, the tub of the van is fine and really pleased with the out come it is just these doors/boot that are the isse.
From looking at the help pages on this site I am think it is some sort of air trapment either by having the gun to close or the pressure to high
I am assuming my only option would be to resand with 400grit then 800grit and try again
What do you think?

I reckon I must of written that 15 years ago so things have moved on slightly with the introduction of the 5000 grit Trizact discs, Grocers apostrophes ??? You got me there

Yeah they appeared as soon as the second had been laid down.
How long should I wait for the current to cure before hitting it with the the 400/800grit?

you were well ahead of me. Seems it is contaminant as Snooper suggested but if in just the second coat, flattable as Langy suggested. Next question. Have you been polishing in the work area? Did you damp everything down before you sprayed? Did anyone start up a diesel between coats? Are you sure this is 2k direct gloss? With the greatest of respect, the pictures show it as flat as a flat thing, more reminiscent of base coat or cellulose gloss???
