I've seen a Ford Anglebox turned on its side on tyres or a mattress, can't recall which & there was no damage.

Think it's been done before. Certainly the hub mounted support frames have. You'd need plenty of room for your levers. I think there are tales of rolling rally minis onto one side on a few spare tyres to access the underneath.

Yep I saw some old test vidios of the mini the other night putting it through its paces on some green lanes in Wales I believe and they did just that to check underneath

I remember as a young(ish) fella tipping a Renault 6 (bouncy giant roller skate!) onto it's side, supported on the gutter by several straw bales, so that I could sort the floor pan out ...with a stick welder! As I remember it passed it's MOT.

Regarding the original pic, the lever length is limited by the height of the person so no point having a lever 5m long. Also get's more difficult once past hip height and a lot more once past shoulder height.

Yes I've seen the straw bale thing done on a triumph herald years ago ....the main problem was stopping the straw catching fire whilst welding ...

cant you just use those sketchy farm jack lift things. the ones you see on land rovers that never go offroading next to the Jerry can that never gets used.

Mines had a lot of use not sketchy if used right, however anyone working under one wants their chuff kicking.
