Rubber to metal adhesive recommendations

I washed our Yeti today and found the NS rear door seal hanging off:

There's a narrow groove in the rubber that slips over the edge of the body panel.
It looks like there was some sort of glue in there.
What's the best stuff to stick it back with?

I have a Yeti and would use this.

The existing strip has to be squeaky clean and dry, whatever you have to accomplish that, maybe WD40.

Apply adhesive to both surfaces.

It might not be an automotive adhesive but I would use CT1.

brake cleaner or the likes , not wd40 ,,, or jb weld
tec7 is good and it has its own cleaner / solvent that works well too ,,,, not the cheapest , but you only do it once. or windscreen adhesive would work , again it has its own primer too

Double sided tape. Especially the type use to secure double glazing in window frames. Comes in different thicknesses.

We bought it for SWMBO and she loves it. Brother and sister in-law tried it and bought one too.
Just a shame they stopped making them.

Or replace the whole strip, can't imagine it will be that expensive, eBay might be your friend or Auto-Doc

Just a shame they stopped making them.

It was but trends was its demise but still retain decent used value.

And its Sunday tomorrow ! A couple of dabs of CT1 will sort that.

Squeeze the channel with pliers first though. Looks like it has spread.

Yeah, both sides. Looking at replacements but £25 per side seems the norm so I might see what I can do with these.

Stixall. Wonderful stuff. I replaced all four wheel arch trims on my Discovery 2 using the black variety. I’ve used it before sticking heavy rubber threshold strip to concrete under a roller shutter workshop door. It claims to be able to stick even when the components are wet and I can believe it..
