@Kram , guess what I've just found in the garage? That 20L of carpet tile adhesive I should have / could have / would have brought down yesterday but forgot all about it!

I might abandon the idea, I can imagine it being a messy task! I found a suitable bit of cardboard to go between the bike and wall and seems to be working.

Not messy at all, apply with a 4" roller, job done.
