Grind the teeth off a hole saw to make a knife edge, and press it out. A bit of WD40 helps lube it up

Yeah we used it for caf joints and rubber too. Just googled gasket cutter, there's a few variations

I may have suitable size dies and usually, the flypress will make a "perfect" cut.

I can even test it on some EPDM I have lying around. Are the sizes you quote exact and is there a tolerance?

Milk bottles are easier to cut than rubber and can (in some applications) make a good seal.

I dont know if it will work in your application however.

Basically need to make a rubber oil seal. To stop crap going in the top of mill spindle and causing issues. Literally just gonna be a disc that sits in place, the rotating spacer under the locnut will ride on the inner diameter.

Just a disc is it? Don't mind printing one in TPU.

I'd print in TPU if it's just a dust seal, the top side won't be perfectly smooth though. TPU will probably last longer than a butyl rubber too.

Whatever it is it needs to be quite flexible so that the seal is tight around the ID

The TPU I use is 85A shore (mid to hard rubber) with an elongation to yield of 65% i.e it's stretchy. Also has a low friction surface so isn't likely to wear on moving surfaces. It has a plasticky feel. Obviously not good at elevated temperatures.

Alternatively, if you've got some stock large enough it wouldn't take long to turn two concentric rings, chamfer for a cutting edge and cut out using a press.

Piece of steel pipe, taper the end in the lathe to correct size and use it as a hole cutter against a flat piece of polythene / nylon sheet

I normally use a compass with a ball point to mark, then cut with the sharpest craft knife and water lube. The water makes a big difference.
(I never seem to have the right hole cutter size....even less a scrap one..)

I have some 5mm high density foam at home and could have a go at cutting you a couple of discs on the laser cutter when back at school on Monday? Thicker than you want but should squish down a bit.

Yes but it will have very different properties/composition to injection moulded TPU. The manufacturing process dictates the recipe.

Very similar though and I was delighted to discover the Ender3 can print TPU with its bog stock bowden feed setup.
