Hi all
My Rtech tig 201 Ac/DC machine has developed a fault and i am wondering if anyone here can shed any light on it, i have sent an email to Rtech but i would not think they will get back to me till Monday.
so here is the fault:
At first i thought it was the food pedal since i could get a stable arc going at about 40A on a 1.6mm electrode but on increasing the current the arc would start to hunt, tried all the normal stuff, new tungsten, checked gas, clean part etc etc so turned it off waited a bit then tryed again and now the machine is stuck on 239Amps which i have to say i impressive for a 200A machine, however it no use non of the adjustment works via either the foot control or the current control nob on the machine.
same symptoms on AC and DC.
Machine is 10 months old, so is still in warranty, i have heard that Rtech have very good customer support so hope that this will be sorted quite easily.
cheers tilly
