We have a decent amount of data on our phone contracts and as a result, we dont have home broadband, but tether devices to our iphones. The iphone hotspot is mediocre at best. The devices often dont detect it unless you turn it on and off when you want them to connect and the signal isnt massively strong so i need to have the phone relatively close to the device i want to tether it to.
Is there a router that will connect to the phone and distribute the signal around the house? I guess its probably more an access point than a router. 4G speed is better than anything we could get through a wire and we have 120GB of data between our phones each month which is much more than we need.
(personally i can see a day soon where this is standard and all the phone lines disappear!)
