Get that lot round Japanese knotweed and all you'd do is propagate it, the roots go down 3 metres in places and spread 7 metres across and it only takes a bit of rhizome to start a new plant colony, you can literally watch it grow throughout the day it is so prolific.
There is so much written about knotweed on the net its very hard to make any sense of effective eradication. A very experience colleague of mine is convinced that if its mown off and kept mown off it will eventually give up. He has been dealing with JK for many years and thinks the whole JK thing has been blown up out of proportion.
