Rotabroach element 14 chop saw

Hey anyone have or used one of these? Are they worth the price difference over the evolution?

Are you comparing like for like? Evolution do an R355 (orange) and an S355 (blue). The Rotabroach is the equivalent of the blue one and seems to be cheaper than the Evolution (e.g. https://www.truflame.co.uk/product-page/element-14-chop-saw). Makita near-equivalent of both is LC1230 (and only 305mm) for price comparison.

Yep the S355. I'm in Ireland and the evolution is coming up cheaper for me.
Curious if the rotabroach cermet blades are any better than the evolution mild steel ones?
Also build quality of the two. Definitely want a cast base after my last base getting mashed, the Makita is a nice saw but pricier.

had no probs with my evo.....best not drive over the base what ever it's made from.....!!!!!!
Mine are treated like gold......always put away......but I do have a 12" b/saw as well......

I use blue Evolution. The saw was immediately replaced with a saw from the Hoffmann Group. More teeth, less vibration, cleaner cut. But like all pendulum saws, the accuracy of the cutting angle is not perfect. Although the Evolution vise seemed to me the most accurate of all the proposals. There will be an opportunity, I follow their example to the ideal.
