I have a Commando 40 (a rebadged Panther) and an Element 40. Both great drills.
We have 2 Commandos, a Scorpion (100mm) and an Adder (low profile) at work. Nothing against any other brand, there's probably better out there, but Rotabroach is what I know and love.
The Element is slightly nicer to use... slightly lighter, and no motor cable to rip out. I like the control buttons that light up and the load indicator. But TBH I think the Commando is a better drill for the capacity, with its variable speed and a better coolant bottle.
Both are comfortable doing 32mm holes.
With respect to clamping and moving, the thicker and flatter the base, the better the magnet sticks to it. You can not move a mag drill off a flat 20mm plate... it just won't go anywhere. I made a rough and ready drilling jig earlier in the year for the mag drill to drill around 500 holes in connection plates out of 20mm and it worked a treat. I know 10mm will probably work fine but personally I'd want 15mm+, and less of a throat - more rigidity.
