Following on from the weedkiller thread, was thinking about a manual way to remove docks in the paddock ( they have a tap root system).
There are pictures on the internet of historical dock grubbers, dating back to the time when labour was cheap and chemicals were'nt available, and amazon etc have cheap chinese prongy things that look like they'd snap or bend on first useage.
the theory of operation is either something to make a core around the root and lift it out, or something with prongs to go down one side of the root, ten a foot to lever against to lover the root out.
Has anyone made anything/seen suitable plans to make one anywhere ? ( do have some nice 2 1/2" thickish wall steel tube that Im looking at and scratching my head
