the beams are worse than I thought...
that's a 1m straight edge clamped to one of the (non - window - supported) beams

this is the worst (for purposes of illustration), but they're all at least 1" down in the centre.
the "window supported ones" are actually the straightest.

I'm actually thinking that if I get a week's decent weather forecast, I'm going to rip the lot off and donate to a bonfire and save me the skip.
I can get new unbanded 13ft scaffolding boards for a tenner apiece, so £110 quid.
that will give me more headroom, and more stiffness

then 2nd hand insulated roof panels will cost me about £200-300 (between £10 and £15 a sqm + delivery).

final question...

how do I fasten insulated panels down?
6-8" roofing screws?

I'm going to have to replace the window as well, but I'll be just making a frame out of 3x2+ some shuttering (phenoluc) ply. no glass, and strong enough to support the roof beams.

If you can wait until I get back I will bring paslode with me and get frames built up in no time

do the insulated panels need a ply lining down first?
because if so, i might as well go down the epdm route.

If you use insulated sheets as a board then no as long as you hit every joist wood

FItting a 4" 1" wood at joists enables this to happen but allows a good seal to your next insulated sheet

NOte I dont mean the cheap insulated sheet but it could be used in same manner

EVen 50mm composite sheet will do the same
