Rollixo RTS garage door randomly opening

I should say that I am pretty sure the problem was not with the remote itself but with the code it used to communicate with the door. I say this because the batteries were removed from the remotes for a period and the door still randomly opened

Normally the door controller is basically a gate controller so will likely have a plug in wireless receiver.

Power it down and unplug the module. There's usually then a screw terminal for opening which basically just needs to be shorted to the common terminal to activate it.

Pull the wire out of any open terminals. If you're door is still opening chances are the PCB is screwy. If you post a picture up of the circuit board (or model number) I can advise more. You should also be able to bypass the safety devices temporarily to see if those are causing issues.

All good info but....

In this case there are two identical doors and, as part of the testing, the controllers were switched between them. The only time a particular door randomly opened was when this one (out of a set of 4) specific remote was paired with it regardless of which controller it was paired with. The fault always followed the particular remote and happened regardless of whether there was a battery in the remote and the only common factor was the pairing of the remote (obviously done before the battery was removed )
