Roller shutter security - how to?

I have to admit its a difficult one, best solution i can think of is to put heavy duty steel security gates in behind the roller door. But then they intrude into your work space or reduce the width of the door opening or if you have them open outwards, could electrify them or the roller door perfectly legal as long as you post warning notices about it.

Do you mean wire them to 230v AC mains? I'm not sure about the "perfectly legal" aspect of that.

Nothing quite so punative electric fences usually us between 2000 and 10000 volts taken from a 230v suppy and transformed up. Hse regs here

@DAPPH I did have them bolted to a steel flat bar that ran the length of the door

I forgot too add voltage dosent kill current dose. Popular science experiment at our high school was get a power pack whack it up too 50000 volts you were given an electrode too hold in one hand and the other electrode was placed in a tank of salt water. A 2 pound coin was dropped into the tank of water and we were all told you could keep it if you could get it in your free hand before it clenched shut. Of course none of us ever succeeded.

Well I'm going to install a key switch on the mains feed to the up down switch, I've ordered a socket lock thing to go at the bottom too. I'm also going to make like a counterweight bar to go on the outside that I can swing up and out the way (can't do a normal gate as there isn't anywhere for it to swing that isn't in the way of something else!) as tbh most of the time the door is up for ventilation not access.

Hopefully be enough should I be unlucky enough to have unwanted visitors.
