roller shutter lock

Afternoon all I need a little help from the collective. I'm trying to source a lock for the wife's roller shutter on her mitsi l200. Its almost a standard part 155x55x15mm body but on this one the lock barrel has to project 16mm. The ones I have found so far only project at most 8 mm so then the key won't reach. Despite what eBay brings up, the locks I received don't have the critical barrel length. I've tried a couple of lock Smith's but no joy so far. This is the unit, there is nothing wrong with it apart from I don't have a key!

Simple fix is to find a key that will enter the barrel to its full depth and then file the barrel pins to suit the key, Bit of a bodge but it does work ok and still safe.

A decent lock smith should be capable of re-pinning it. When I owned a few Launderettes I was everlasting having locks re-pinned to change keys and also get all machines keyed alike

How do you get the barrel pins out? I suppose in theory if I could get them out and buy a blank key I could file the key to suit? Its annoying though as a new lock is only £12 delivered from the bay but the barrels are too short.

H Harolds in Sheffield will make you a key or repin to suit your key. I dare say you have a similar locksmith near you who could do the same, you do need a proper locksmith though not just a shop that sells locks.
