More woes I'm afraid.
This is an "in tube"? (tubular motor?) roller shutter door.
I noticed a few weeks ago when stopping the upward motion, the door would drop back a couple of inches. That seemed to go away.
Now it is worse and dropping back 4-5 inches when stopped going up. However if you then go up again it will only drop back a short distance.
When my van is under the car port, it doesn't fit in all the way and I'm concerned the door will drop on the roof.
So, I am not familiar with the braking mechanism on these door. Is it adjustable, or is my motor drive just worn out and I need to work out how the dickens I'm going to replace it - it was a real pain getting it up there in the first place and I really don't fancy getting it down if I have to repair it.....
Cheers
Peter
