need a reccomendation if possible;i store a vehicle away from mains power,so need a solar/battery mouse repeller as they have got in once & i dont want a repeat not sure of their access route could even have snicked in whilst a door was open.thanks all.

A cat is fairly low maintenance! I did try a mains ultra sonic unit but tbh I'm not sure it did much good bait trap worked better for the rat that decided to live in garage

I have had one of those ultra sonic rodent/ insect repellers, Don't seem to work at all, large spiders are thriving and mice eat the poisoned corn like it's going out of fashion but it does get them after a few good feeds.

that sounds interesting im always amazed how they can climb shiny /vertical surfaces i once saw a rat run up a steel stanchion.the problem with the bait is they then die somewhere inaccessible & the smell goes on for ages whilst the maggots devour the carcass.

If you can push a pencil through a hole a mouse can get in, best method is to put a couple of bait boxes around the car, and check regularly, also open things like fuse boxes relay panels etc, electrics will always be there favorite nesting spot and leaving them open and exposed as possible makes them far less attractive.

Back up the bait with a few traditional mouse traps inside the car, and hopefully your be fine.

One of the combines I used to work on had panels know among the fitters as Rat boxes, as they would frequently be destroyed when the machines stood unused in the winter by Roland's or Mickeys, the repair on some of these panels could run into 5 figures.

Only good thing is if you have Mickeys, Roland's are unlikely as they tend to eat the mice... Horrible things all of them.

My terrier smelt a rat in the garage this morning, and he was right!
He missed him though...
Had to clean out a box of Landy parts that was stored for my rebuild as the darn thing had made a nest in there, still we cleared some of the rubbish that had collected while the kitchen's been refitted, and had a good bonfire. Herbie can go mousing to his hearts content now!
Mice and rats are always an issue as we have a natural pond about 15 yards away.

was on a job on a farm 2day and an old guy turned up with an 1910 bsa open sited underlever .177 crist it was rusty ass hell and a crack in the stock bound with string . the place is heaving with rats . the old git shot 4 in 2 hours just walking around
