Thanx I have managed
Looking at weld beads on the plate, I'd turn the amps up by 2 or 3 turns. The weld beads look good but a bit high hence turning up the power.Hi here are some photos of a cleaned up 5mm plate using the dreaded Lincoln arcweld6013
I have tried to put some of the advice you all have giving me into practice and am able to strike an arc easier
It's quite apparent that I need more technique on the welds
I don't always manage to see what is happening with the weld pool ? Cheers guys
Flap disc is not the same a grinding wheel.I actually used a flap disk on it and it realy looked shiny on completion I think shadowing on the photo is making it look partly cleaned thanks for your feedback![]()
yes as already mentioned , a flapper can just polish up the rust/dirt, a grinding wheel is more abrasive and cuts through to bare metal.I actually used a flap disk on it and it realy looked shiny on completion I think shadowing on the photo is making it look partly cleaned thanks for your feedback![]()
