I have an empty 13kg gas bottle kicking around so I was going to knock up a rocket stove along this sort of design:
I have some 90mm pipe for the L pipe but I was wondering whether it's worth insulating the space in the cylinder.
I don't want to use anything heavy as insulation as that will make moving the stove a pain. Would vermiculite work or glass fibre insulation (I have offcuts of Earthwool Omnifit which purports to have high fire resistance) or am I barking up the wrong tree and it's thermal mass that the stove needs?
