RJH Linisher

Provisionally bought an RJH pedastool Linisher, Only downside is, its 3 phase. I've also been offered a 240v 2.5hp Motor from a compressor.

Would the linisher handle this sort of power? I currently have an old linisher powered by a 1/4hp motor, looking for a bit more umph...

Um. Bigger motors just maintain their RPM at higher loads. So if your linisher had a smaller wattage motor, then the bigger one will just make it nicer to use.

a 1hp will be good on a 6inch belt sander I made an identical one copied that design the belts will slip if u push something hard on it before the motor would slow down

I have a similar one as above, but it slows down even with the slightest touch. But this RJH one is to cheap to pass up. and being free standing makes it easier

just put a 1ph to 3ph vfd on the motor job done.

easyer than swapping motors about and tbh works better
