Rivnuts or tap hole

They use a battery powered Rivnut setting tool

Was I correct that they are hex though? I looked in my bits box and found some M10 ones that must have come from 'that' job and its round but very much more substantial than a normal rivnut.

They only use M5 & M6 in my area and they do appear decent quality.

he probably can not get a nut on the other side and if he could he would have to drill through both sides of the chassis rail

it is the newly purchased bracket that the arb bolts to, what he needs to do is to attach the bracket to his chassis

Yeah, thats just a picture off google of the bracket, mine just has a bolt flange.

The OD of the rivnut is 10.8mm, so if i drill it to 10.5, file it a little then tap it in so its a tight fit and not spin

plenty copperslip when you put them back to make it easier next time, mind to avoid the plastic of the nyloc.

Ah thats good news. I noticed on another forum that someone was asking for dimensions of where the ARB brackets should be, if that was you and you havent found out I can measure mine tomorrow if it helps?

I once did panhard rod bushes on an ex utility 2.5 petrol 127, the bolts fell out and they were worn almost half through. I asked if the driver had any wandering / vibration when at speed.. he said .... speed?

Well the way i was planning to work it out was to mount the arb to the axle and install chassis bracket to the bar, offer it into place and mark the holes, buts its not quite working as i have to tighten it down and then i cant move the clamp on the bar to get it in place
I had to abbandon it as its starting raining.
Would be great if you could get the mesurment, but im not sure how best to mesure it,
To the edge of a welded bracket might not be the same as mine

Edit - i just realised i still have my disco so i should be able to work it out off that

I can measure between bracket edge and edge of the bumpstop which is centred over the axle, I reckon that would be ok if you need it.
