I ended up moving it a good 4-5 inches back, which probably means I should have renewed the belts but it seems to be working far better now!

I had the suds pump belt to contend with also, but now that the pump had been removed simple adjustment with a help from my foot.

On a lube issue I use EP90 on the slides. Dunno if that's correct but it hasn't complained over the years.

I need to change the micro switch to something a bit softer there is not enough weight to the bow stand to press the switch down every time. It mostly skims over the plunger and pushes the leg out more

i cut a hole in the base for it to go through so it doesnt slide off :laughing:

if your going to flood it with water though it will drip through if you must move the switch forward and put it at an angle backover and also tilt your bracket and adjuster nut to align up job done

a hole in the bolt head? that might work just sitch it in the lathe and run a center drill into it to creat a divot, the stay does wander though even though I shimmed it with washers it moves too much for my liking to be relaible as a trigger for a switch

Can't remember offhand. The pivot pin, across the other side from the pulley. Does that move with the head, or does the head pivot on it?

no it does not move on this saw, I believe it does on the big brother the Rapidor Major though

@123hotchef ..I think you can drill the back and put a grub screw in ..see the thread on the Major to see what i did

I suspect that if it is not turning then it is a core plug and not the true end of the shaft. Remove it? However an alternative would be to attach an actuator bar on the arm and mount the switch here?

Well after much talk about fitting a pulse pump as the original I decided to have a go. Using some 316ss scrap bored out as a cylinder and a bronzy , brassy alloy for the piston. Made the alloy as AB1 but couldn't get furnace quite hot enough, so cooled alloy down with some zinc. Just cast a meteor blob to get going. Hadn't got my foundry sand sorted. Haven't had metal-fume-fever so far (again)
